California Fair Employment and Housing Commission Issue Modified Rules on Harassment Training and Education

Tuesday, September 12, 2006

On August 29, 2006, the Commission adopted modified proposed regulations on Harassment Training and Education, interpreting Government Code section 12950.1 [A.B. 1825], which requires harassment training for supervisors of employers with 50 or more employees. Corrected August 29, 2006, modified regulations  (pdf). The August 29, 2006, regulations modify earlier June 20, 2006 modified regulations.  Those regulations, in turn, modified the Commission's original December 16, 2005, proposed regulations.  The Corrected August 29, 2006 Modified Regulations are in response to the public comments that the Commission received about its June 20, 2006, regulations.
